'Tis the season...

It's getting to that time of year when everyone gets "jolly" and "stressed" thanks to everything that comes with the holidays. This is by far my favorite time of year, always has been.

Christmas: I love everything about it. I actually annoy my roommates because I get so anxious to start listening to Christmas music. The day after Halloween - is when my Christmas season is allowed to start! Can't wait!! But mostly just having the whole family together. I'm a sucker for anything that gets the family together!!

But this time of year, has also become a time of year when I do a lot of thinking and reflecting.

In a couple weeks, it will be the 4 year anniversary of the day I lost two friends in a car accident.

I wear a bracelet on my wrist everyday "KC & LJ - Forever in our hearts." I honestly have not taken it off in close to 4 years. It may sound weird, but I learned so much from them, while they were here, and once they were gone.

Then, two years ago in November, I lost my grandpa. Him and my grandma came to everything and anything that I was involved in. No matter what - they were there. That's what family does.

Finally...around this time last year, my mom was in a car accident. My mom is my best friend. She luckily walked away with a bruised finger. But she was literally about a foot away from having a semi drive right over her. Scariest night of my life, by far.

So this time of year is not only my favorite, but also one where I find myself doing a lot of thinking about life and death.

But no matter what may happen I know that I have some of the best friends a girl could ask for.
And that I am blessed with the best family - loving and always there.
I am lucky.
